Empowering women in the studio starts in the classroom. We Are Moving Needle drives gender equity in education by opening access for women to pursue education through scholarships, and providing critical mentorship to support their journeys. Since 2021, We Are Moving The Needle has awarded over $525,000 in scholarships to students to attend premiere audio programs including Mix With The Masters, Blackbird Academy, and the Los Angeles Academy of Artists and Music Production (LAAMP). Community-building sits at the core of all that we do, and We Are Moving The Needle’s College and University Chapter Program connects students across the country with resources to pursue their future in audio. Our campus partnerships provide supportive environments for students to connect, learn, and grow. We work with student leaders and faculty on each campus to define goals for their community and support the development of programs from masterclasses to mentorship panels with meaningful impact for each student community.
