Continuing our collaboration with Los Angeles Academy for Artists & Music Producers (LAAMP), We Are Moving The Needle is excited to offer 2 in-person scholarships to the upcoming 2024-2025 program! 

This is a collaborative music program for artists, producers and songwriters in the field of contemporary popular music. 

Application Deadline: June 30, 2024 11:59 PM.

💡 Program Start Date: September 23, 2024

💡 Location: LAAMP campus in Santa Monica, California

**Final notifications will be sent July 31, 2024. Awardees must be local to the Los Angeles area or prepared to relocate in advance of the September 23 program start date.

💡 Program Details:
A one-year intensive music program created by world-class mentors. Develop your skills, find your voice and meet the next generation of artists, songwriters, and producers. Team up with mentors that are all experts in the field with proven track records.

The hands-on onsite program puts you in the room with Stargate, the mentors, and the best songwriters, artists, and producers of the entire applicant pool. The facility is complete with 16 studios, a stage, classroom, outdoor dining, lounge, kitchen, and main office. Students come here to work five days a week, whether attending live seminars, and workshops, collaborating with their peers, or getting in-person feedback from our mentors.

Each scholarship recipient will be paired with a mentor from We Are Moving The Needle’s world-class network of mentors.

💡 Scholarship Requirements:

  • We Are Moving The Needle is proud to offer two (2) in-person scholarships for this year’s program. Please note: for this year’s in-person scholarships, we will be prioritizing those on the producer/engineering track. 

  • We Are Moving The Needle scholarships are open to women, non-binary, and trans individuals with an emphasis on those with a demonstrated commitment to production and engineering.

  • Scholarships cover full tuition costs of the program, however students will be responsible for room and board during program duration. In-person applicants should be prepared to be in-residence in commuting distance from Santa Monica for the program. Additional gear scholarships and equipment support may be available on a case-by-case basis.

  • Scholarship applicants will be reviewed for: 1) Overall fit with the LAAMP Program and demonstrated learning goals, 2) Alignment with We Are Moving The Needle’s scholarship qualifications (stated above), 3) Clearly defined goals and demonstrated commitment to work in the field that would benefit from this opportunity.
